Hello, it's me...

No, it's not Adele.  It's us!  And to hopefully re-start our blogging, we are going to kick off April with a styling event at Jennifer's house.  One day only!  Heather Steele and W by Worth's Spring and Summer lines are going to move into my living room on Monday, April 11th.  Shoot me an email if you are interested in coming over during the day (8:30-4:00) or night (open house from 6-9 pm at night with wine and nibbles) and I'll send you my address. 

The theme?  We all wear white pants all summer long.  You know it!  Let's try to update them with a new top or scarf!  Bring your favorite pair along for the ride.

W2WW Live - Great morning with our friends at J.Crew

Wow!  What a fun morning!  Today W2WW held our first 'live' event - a styling session with readers at J.Crew in the Natick Mall.  A big thank you to our friends at J.Crew Natick Mall for hosting What 2 Wear When... and to our great readers who enthusiastically showed up with shopping needs and open minds!  Starting at 9:00am for 2 (really 3) hours, Lisa and I styled, ran for different sizes, examined shoes, explained how great double-sided tape is, and had a blast!

When Lisa and I arrived, our friend and J.Crew stylist Sylvia Gesell had flowers, reserved dressing rooms, and light refreshments for us and our readers.  Delightful!

And then, our readers arrived and we were really bad bloggers and didn't take ANY pictures.  We were too busy having fun, dressing and styling both new and old (as in years, not age!) friends.  

Our readers really focused on transitional outfits and 'mommy basics'.  There might be a lot of the Scout Cargo pants at school pick-up, but that's only because they fit so many so well!  We had a couple of ladies who were devoted to the Liberty of London prints.  One friend was in need of a First Communion outfit.  One had a sweater she wanted help styling.  One hadn't purchased shoes in a while because of an injury.

W2WW Live - One week away from J.Crew event!

Received my Spring 2013 J.Crew catalogue yesterday and tore out pages of things I liked - I liked quite a few things, no?

Since that's a jumble, these are the things that I'm eyeing.  First, their shoes are INSANE this spring.  I love the Tabbie t-strap sandals, the Lillian suede wedges and the Mari sandals.  All come in multiple colors.  Must try on!

 In the clothing department, I love the hummingbird floral pant, merino boyfriend sweater (yes, Lisa and I are suckers for a good v-neck), and the double-square t-shirt - cute for a pop of color under a cardi or jacket, right?

Lisa and I will be hitting J.Crew this weekend to check sizing, start styling and pulling things together for YOU.   When we're done (and hopefully the store won't be too pulled apart) we're going to assemble a list of our truly favorite items for the ladies that attend our in-store event.  Again, RSVP to one of us and let us know if you'd like to attend!  Hope to see you there! ~ JH

W2WW goes live with our very first What 2 Wear When styling event with J. Crew at the Natick Mall in Natick, Massachusetts.  We are SO excited!  

We are big fans of J. Crew, especially for spring when our wardrobe and our spirits desperately need color and respite from the snow.   On Wednesday morning, March 6th, from 9:00 to 11:00am, J. Crew will host us and an intimate group of W2WW readers for a before-hours shop.

Lisa and I will be on hand to share our favorite items from Spring 2013 (arriving in store just days before) and help you style an outfit or answer any style questions you have. Have a great skirt in the back of your closet that you don't know what to do with?  Bring it!   Our good friend and J. Crew stylist, Sylvia Gesell, will hook you up with a 15% discount on our purchases that morning.  Can you think of a better way to kick off spring?!
